Rail Centre of Excellence
In partnership with Queensland Rail, TAFE Queensland opened the Rail Centre of Excellence at our Acacia Ridge campus in 2016. The centre positions TAFE Queensland as the premier provider of rail and rail related training in the state, supporting trade training requirements in areas such as electrotechnology, engineering, metalwork and fabrication.
Rail Centre of Excellence
The Rail Centre of Excellence features three training rooms, 200 metres of track, as well as signalling, maintenance and safety equipment. The recent addition of a rail bridge allows us to deliver specialised training to bridge staff, with training for timber rail bridges no longer available anywhere else in Queensland.
