TAFE Queensland is proud to be the Official Training Provider of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, through to the end of 2026.

Here’s just some of the things we’ll be collaborating on, with more to come.

Try time

TAFE Queensland is a Presenting Partner of Try Time Building Relationships “Voice Against Violence” module to be delivered in at least 15 schools across the Townsville, Burdekin, Charters Towers and Ingham regions to secondary school students in years 10, 11 and 12.

This partnership will also provide TAFE Queensland the ability to promote courses to all schools involved in Try Time and the North Queensland Academy members.

Dream, Believe, Achieve

Dream, Believe, Achieve is an award-winning training and employment program that delivers education, training and industry-recognised qualifications to unemployed and disadvantaged North Queenslanders.

It provides mentoring support to assist students in completing their studies and achieving their career goals.

The Dream, Believe, Achieve hospitality program is funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative and is available to eligible participants at no cost.

In 2024, the program will be expanded into the construction and engineering domain with plans underway for TAFE Queensland to deliver the formal training to participants.

Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420)

In partnership with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, TAFE Queensland is helping advance careers in leadership and management through the delivery of Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420).

Kicking off in Semester 2, 2024 a mixed mode delivery will combine online and face-to-face training right from the Cowboys HQ at The Hutchinson Builders Centre in Townsville.

Throughout this course students will be mentored in team leadership and management, discover how to utilise emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes, and learn how to develop and implement an operational plan to facilitate effective workplace practices.

Our highly experienced team of industry leaders along with guest speakers from the North Queensland Cowboys will give students the guidance needed to succeed in their studies and beyond.

May game day activation

If you are attending the Cowboys V Dolphins game at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville on Saturday 4 May, pop in and get your study and training questions answered and have some fun at our interactive displays. Just look for the iconic red branding, and you might even score yourself some free merchandise.
