Feel confident for what comes next

If you’ve completed a diploma course through TAFE Queensland you’ve already made a great decision for your future.

It can be hard to know what the right decision is when it comes to your career. But the good news is you don’t have to have all the answers, you just need to know what you want to do next. As your diploma studies draw to a close, now’s a great time to think about your next move.

One great option is to continue your studies with a degree. You might not know but TAFE Queensland offers a range of bachelor degree and associate degree courses, many in partnership with leading universities from across the country. While a diploma will give you specialised hands-on skills, a degree provides the high-level knowledge required for many professional and management roles and will help improve your career options and earning potential.

Select your study area below to see what degree options are available to help you define your greatness.

Level up in no time

If you’ve successfully completed a diploma course through TAFE Queensland and decide to apply for a degree, you may be eligible for a credit transfer. In most cases, your diploma will count as a full year of credit towards your degree, saving you time and money and allowing you to jump straight into the second year.

A diploma opens doors

If you’re worried about degree entry requirements, you shouldn’t be. The good news is successful completion of your TAFE Queensland diploma automatically qualifies you for a provisional place in many related TAFE Queensland degrees.

Earn while you learn

One big benefit of continuing your studies after completing a diploma course is that you have the option to earn while you learn. With an industry-recognised qualification under your belt you can do what feels right for right now and start working in your industry, putting your diploma-level skills into practice while you finish off your degree.

Make it work for you

There are a range of scholarships, and state and federal government subsidies available that may help reduce the cost of your studies. Visit TAFE Queensland’s funding eligibility calculator to see what you could be eligible for. You may also be able to apply for a TAFE Queensland payment plan or government-funded VET Student Loan which will allow you to pay off your course fees gradually in instalments.
