Calling all creative people!

This introductory course is for those with a desire to enter the Floristry Industry or the hobbyist wishing to learn the fundamentals of Floristry, giving a basic introduction to the flowers, sundries, accessories and tools needed to successfully create beautiful floral designs.

In this course you will explore different ways to arrange flowers, learn how the principles and elements of design apply, gain knowledge on how to care and condition fresh flowers and plant materials, and develop the basic skills needed to get you on your way.

For those with a real passion for Floristry, participants will be advised on pathways to formal qualifications.

Upon completion of each session in this practical course each participant will have their own floral designs to take home with all flowers and materials required to complete each design supplied.

Topics include.

  • Single presentation flower – gift wrapping and bow construction techniques
  • Buttonholes and corsages
  • Hand tied bouquet
  • Boxed arrangement

This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register.
