Course overview

This two-day workshop on safe chemical usage is designed for experienced or semi-experienced farmers, growers, weed controllers, and all users of agricultural chemicals, and is required to obtain a Licence to become a Commercial Chemical Sprayer (ACDC Licence).

Entry requirements

Selection criteria

It is recommended that you have sound literacy and numeracy skills, and that you have completed year 10, or are 16 years of age or above. Please note that enrolments close 1 week prior to the course date, to allow time for research prior to class.

Resources required

You are responsible for meeting the minimum occupational health and safety requirements. This includes the use of steel-capped boots, long trousers, long sleeved shirt and sun-safe hat.

You will also require:

  • a valid email address
  • personal stationery (i.e. a pen and paper)
  • pocket calculator
  • lunch, morning tea and water

It is also recommended that you have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online systems, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader. This equipment and software is available for students to use at a number of TAFE Queensland locations.
