Bakers and patissiers produce bread, cakes, desserts, and petit fours for various business including patisseries, retail bakeries, restaurants, hotels, catering operations, and cafés. According to the Australian Government's JobOutlook service job growth for bakers and pastrycooks is expected to remain steady over the next five years with available positions reaching 31,100.

As a bakery or patisserie student at TAFE Queensland you'll gain practical experience in our on-campus training kitchens and restaurants. You'll prepare and serve bread and patisserie items for real customers in a live retail environment.
