Meat processing and butchery
Commercial Meat Courses
Our meat processing courses prepare workers with key industry skills including animal welfare, meat safety, and quality assurance. Students will gain an overview of the meat processing industry, learn how to maintain personal equipment, follow safe work policies and procedures, and develop valuable sanitation skills.
The Australian meat processing industry is expected to grow over the next five years thanks to a boost from free trade agreements with China, Japan and South Korea. More qualified candidates will be required, especially in Queensland where 32 per cent of the nation's meat processing facilities are located.
Our industry-standard courses will prepare your staff to work as qualified abattoir workers, slaughter room operators, boning room processors, animal welfare officers, meat inspectors, production managers, and quality assurance officers.
Please note that our meat processing courses are currently available for commercial clients only.
