Scholarships for international students

Study and live in regional Queensland with a Destination Australia Program scholarship offered at TAFE Queensland.

Scholarship opportunity for international students to commence studies in 2024

Limited scholarships under the Destination Australia Program are available for international students to undertake the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing 109308H or the SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management 109683G at TAFE Queensland in July 2024.

These scholarships are open for students planning to commence their studies in July 2024 at TAFE Queensland regional campuses in Bundaberg, Cairns, Toowoomba, Townsville, or the Whitsundays.

Successful scholarship recipients will receive a total of $22,500 ($7,500 per semester) to support their studying and living costs over the three semesters of their course.

Applications close on 12 May 2024 or once all places are filled, whichever comes first.
 

Mandatory requirements

Please provide the following certified or verified documentary evidence with your application (all required documents must be provided for your application to be considered):

  • Evidence of prior qualifications (original awards and/or academic transcript/s that are translated copies if the original is not in English)
  • English language proficiency test results or evidence of English language required to study at TAFE Queensland
  • A copy of a current passport
  • Personal statement on why you are interested in this scholarship and how you believe you will contribute to the region you are choosing to study at (note: 300 words maximum limit strictly enforced).
