TAFE Queensland launches great partnership with Cowboys

TAFE Queensland is now the proud official Vocational Education and Training Partner of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.

TAFE Queensland, the state’s largest and most experienced training provider, is now the official Vocational Education and Training (VET) Partner of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.

In a three-year partnership, TAFE Queensland will be recognised as a Major Partner of the Club with its logo proudly displayed on the lower back of the NRL Cowboys’ home and away playing jerseys from the 2024 season.

TAFE Queensland will also be a presenting partner of a module in the club’s Try Time! schools’ program which educates students in Years 10 to 12 on creating respectful relationships.

Cowboys Chief Executive Jeff Reibel said the partnership reflected the commitment of both organisations to delivering life-changing training and career opportunities throughout regional communities.

“Since the birth of the club in 1995, the Cowboys have worked hard to create strong and resilient bonds across the North for the benefit of our people, both on the footy field and well beyond it,” Mr Reibel said.

“To partner with TAFE Queensland is a proud milestone for the Cowboys, as it formally recognises our shared commitment to providing meaningful education opportunities to North Queenslanders,” he said.

TAFE Queensland General Manager (North) Susan Kinobe said the training partnership is a game changer.

“As the 2023 Australian Large Training Provider of the Year, TAFE Queensland is excited to partner with the Cowboys to provide people with greater access to training opportunities than ever before,” Mrs Kinobe said.

“Our training enables people to build lifelong careers, provides employers with skilled and job-ready workers, and significantly reduces social exclusion within our communities.

"Together with the Cowboys, TAFE Queensland looks forward to helping North Queenslanders kick new goals in 2024,” she said.
