TAFE Queensland opens at Yarrabilba

The wait is over - TAFE Queensland’s Yarrabilba campus has opened its doors.

The state-of-the-art Community Learning Centre opened its doors, supporting a brighter future for the next generation in the community.

The new campus, located at The Buzz at Yarrabilba (proudly powered by the Y – part of YMCA Brisbane), will provide students with the quality, hands-on training they need to succeed in their chosen careers while fulfilling the skill demands of the community.

By opening this new campus, TAFE Queensland is extending its world-class training to the Yarrabilba community.

The new community space will be inclusive, engaging and responsive, enabling a thriving community to connect, learn, earn and innovate. The campus has easy access to green spaces, cafes and food outlets for students to refuel between classes.

TAFE Queensland General Manager Brent Kinnane said the facility will deliver practical and industry-relevant training to give the Yarrabilba community the hands-on and practical training they need to build lifelong careers.

“TAFE Queensland is committed to making training accessible to students from all walks of life, in regions throughout Queensland, to enhance the social well-being of the communities we serve,” said Mr Kinnane.

“By adding our flexible and tailored training solutions to Yarrabilba, we’re helping grow the community by providing a skilled workforce needed to drive its economic growth and future prosperity.”

“We partner with industry and government to ensure our training meets current and future employment demands. By working alongside government and industry, TAFE Queensland is critical in providing the skilled workforce to drive economic growth and future prosperity. We’re thrilled to deliver hands-on, practical training to the Yarrabilba community.”
