International MOU for hospitality upskilling

AIBX Enterprise Pvt Ltd and TAFE Queensland sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a partnership in vocational education and training and upskilling.

TAFE Queensland and AIBX Enterprise Pvt Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding signifying a great milestone in partnerships between Australia and Indian institutions in the areas of vocational education and training and upskilling.

Australia India Business Pty Ltd (AIB), the Sydney based organisation announced in May 2024 a joint venture AIBX Enterprise Pvt Ltd (AIBX) with Educert India Pvt Ltd (Educert) under aegis of the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) to convert B2B opportunities to commercial outcomes in vocational education and upskilling.

Trade Promotion Council of India is an apex trade and investment promotion organisation recognised and supported by the Department of Commerce, Govt. of India. They work towards facilitating the growth of the Indian industry sectors with global investment and trade opportunities.

Chair AIB and Director AIBX Con Livissianis and Deputy Director General Trade Promotions Council of India and Director AIBX Sandip Das said the MOU would provide an important platform in India that takes a collaborative approach to delivering vocational education and training programs.

“We look forward to leveraging TAFE Queensland’s experience and expertise in vocational education and training to contribute to developing a Hospitality Centre of Excellence (CoE), that will be established in New Delhi to cater to aspiring hospitality students, preparing them for the Australian Vocational Education and Employment Pathway (VEEP),” Mr Das said.

As the largest, most experienced training provider in the state, with a history of serving Queensland's communities for more than 140 years, TAFE Queensland is well positioned to explore international opportunities.

“This is the beginning of an innovative partnership between TAFE Queensland and AIBX, that will enable us to explore opportunities to meet the skill demands in India, through vocational education and training programs,” TAFE Queensland Director International Engagement Shelley Lewis said.
