Course overview

Take the next step in your design and drafting career with this entry-level course. With specialised technical and design skills in demand, this qualification will set you up for employment across a range of industries, such as building and construction, civil construction and engineering.

According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, job prospects for civil engineering draftspersons and technicians are strong. The sector is expected to experience moderate future growth with around 3,000 job openings anticipated over the next five years.

In this course you will gain the skills needed to produce drawings and 3D models, and design and develop prototypes using computer-aided design (CAD) programs and processes.
