School alternatives for adult learners
Take the leap into further tertiary study with our Adult Tertiary Preparation (ATP) course or Unilearn subjects. Whether you are looking to gain entry to university via an alternate pathway or increase your Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) selection rank, you will develop life-long learning skills.
Adult tertiary preparation
ATP is ideal for people who have been away from formal education for several years and is specifically designed for those who want to study at university, but don’t have the rank they need to gain entry. The Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation (11240NAT) gives you a selection rank and helps you fulfil the subject prerequisites for university entry.

Why choose ATP
Tertiary selection rank
You can achieve a tertiary selection rank of approximately 79 when you graduate. You can also boost your rank up to 91 if you use Performance Level Assessment (PLA).
University prerequisites
Successful completion of the ATP course will allow you to complete prerequisite units you need to gain entrance to your preferred university course.
Class flexibility
We understand balance is key and our students have other commitments such as work, family and hobbies. Fit your studies around your life and choose to study full time, part time or online.
Supportive environment
ATP is an adult learning environment where students are respected and supported by peers and teachers. If you need extra help, our student support services are available for all of our students.
