Apprenticeships

Forge your own future with career as a tradesperson. Develop hands-on skills that will set you up for success, no matter which industry you work in. As an apprentice work under the guidance of an employer to build your skills until you are a master craftsperson. Apprentices are trained in a skilled trade such as plumbing, construction, or hairdressing, with most apprenticeships taking between three to four years to complete.

Traineeships

As a trainee, you'll gain valuable experience in the workplace as well as hands-on training from TAFE Queensland. Learning from your employer as well as our skilled trainers will provide you with a well-rounded understanding of your industry and will set you up for a successful career. Traineeships are commonly available in vocational fields including business, child care, and retail and normally last one to two years.

Pre-apprenticeship courses

Enrol in a post-trade training course if you want to specialise, gain a specific trade licence, gain credit towards university or expand your horizons after completing an apprenticeship.
