Find your apprentice

Our free Find Your Apprentice service can help connect you with job-ready candidates in your industry.

Taking the guesswork out of hiring an apprentice or trainee

Take the guesswork out of finding an apprentice or trainee with TAFE Queensland's Find your Apprentice service. This free service will match you with applicants who are job-ready and keen to start an apprenticeship in your industry.

The best part is they've often already completed pre-apprenticeship training through TAFE Queensland. That means your new apprentice will come with an existing skill set including essential occupational health and safety training. They'll also have a foundation level understanding of the job so you can rest assured they're as passionate about your industry as you are.

All our courses are taught by experienced teachers with strong links to industry, so you can be confident your apprentice will have the skills you need to take your business to the next level. Don't just take our word for it — our 92 per cent employer satisfaction rating says it all.

So take the hassle out of hiring and register your interest to get started today.

1. Register your interest

To take advantage of the free Find your Apprentice service simply register your interest. TAFE Queensland will then contact you to discuss what you and your business are looking for. Based on your business needs we'll put you in contact with suitable applicants, reach out to our teaching staff for recommendations, or advertise your position to our graduate talent pool.

2. Sign the training contract

To organise the training contract you'll need to contact your preferred Apprenticeship Network Provider (ANP). ANPs are a free service that provide advice and support to employers who are looking at hiring an apprentice.

3. Choose your training provider

Once you've signed the training contract, and chosen TAFE Queensland as your Supervising Registered Training Provider (SRTO), we will be notified by your chosen ANP and will contact you within 48 hours to organise an onsite or phone induction.

4. Start training

Training can start in as little as two weeks after the induction, or we can commence the training based on what works for you and your apprentice.
